iPhoneogenic’s Top 31 for December 2011!
After being on hiatus for several months the iPhoneogenic collection of monthly images is back! This collection promises to awe and inspire those who appreciate what iPhone photographers/artists do! This December we saw well over 1,800 images added to our Flickr group pool! That being said, it was quite a daunting task to narrow it down to just 31 works of art! The selection varies in styles from landscapes, abstracts, self portraits, and many more.
Our lead image is such an appropriate segway into the new year. “Through the glass,” by Nicole Lock, is a toast to the year in mobile photography. What a great year 2011 has been, expect far greater in twenty twelve. Next, Aaron Davis captures an amazing macro shot of a dragonfly, the detail of “bug” is spectacular. Later, James Clarke’s abstract steers us directly into the “insertion point,” there is no way you can miss this one! Furthermore, MaryJane Sarvis leads us down the “river road” to a beautiful mountain range on the horizon. The simplicity of this image leaves me breathless. Finally as 2011 came to a close “the golden hue by the oak tree,” by Andy Royston, is just a reminder that we have a another year behind us and many more ahead.
Thanks to all who participated in adding to the iPhoneogenic Flickr Group and those who submitted their work to us. You have made this month’s selection process very tough. Continue to inspire us!
We hope you enjoy the collection!

Mobile Artist of the Week - Alan Kastner | @tabiwallah
Alan Kastner is a person I’ve gotten to know over the past year through his work and personal exchanges. I wanted to present Alan in this way just before the start of my final semester of university studies, but I got overwhelmed from the word go. So, I asked if he could be patient with me until the semester drew to a close. As the respectful Sir that he is, he kindly agreed to hold off plans. Now it has become the right time to introduce the brilliance of what is Alan Kastner.
His latest works are fanciful, intriguing, and intuitive provoking thought and anticipation for more.

iPhoneogenic’s Top 30! April 2011
The Easter Bunny has come and gone. Boy did that bunny leave some beautifully adorned “Ester Eggs.” The entire month of April you, the iPhoneographer, have produced some really brilliant and consistent works of art. To narrow our search I enlisted the help of non other than my dear friend, Aik Beng Chia! ABC has been tirelessly looking out for your work on the iPhoneogenic Flickr Group to be included in this months collection. If you know ABC, you know his eyes are trained to catch details, geometry, and shadows transmitted mostly in monochrome representations sometimes a splash of color. For this months selection that’s just what he delivered to represent iPhoneogenic’s 30!
I want to thank Aik Beng for helping me throughout the month of April and developing a collection that meets the iPhonoegenic standards. Thanks ABC for all your hard work!
Thanks to all who participated in adding to the iPhoneogenic Flickr Group and those who submitted their work to us directly. You have made this month’s selection process very tough. Continue to inspire us!
We hope you enjoy the collection!
